MrMcGoo
Welcome to the forum!!! I have RF-7s and have run them with a Pioneer Elite receiver. The Pioneers are good receivers but are challenged by the minimum impedance of 2.8 ohms for the RF-7s. This means that separate amps need to have the capability to run the low impedances. In the price range that you are interested in, the pro amps are the best buys. Some pro amps have a fan that creates noise, but they will handle the low impedance with ease. The Crown 402XLS and 602XLS are worth renting for a weekend to see if you like the sound. There are other pro brands that might suit the bill. The Carver Pro is one to look at also. B&K makes a 200.2, 200.3 and 200.5 that are nice, but cost more than the pro amps. Bill
Keta
I use an Outlaw 770 amp with my LaScala's and I feel the combo is great. I also use the 770 with NHT speakers, with good results. These amps are made by ATI.

dog
I have a couple questions 1. Is a 5 channel amp necessary with my current set-up? 2. Would I be better off running a pair of monoblocks to run the RF-7 only? 3. RF-35 towers as surrounds... Powering them through the receiver only vs adding a amp?
