samuel r
just want to know the REAL wattage the rf-3's can handle. the manual says 225 watts continuous, but the online specs. say 150 watts continuous. which is it?
TheEAR
The RF3's I think are rated up to 150W RMS,this is huge.take into consideration how sensitive these speakers are, woth a 50W RMS input your ears will bleed! I have a pair of RF-5's,just got them and damn these can spit unhuman volumes.I cut the mains at 80Hz,the Sunfire subs take over under 80Hz.The sound is BIG,and I took the TFM-75 amp to teast the RF-5's to the near maximum. The meters never hit 400W peak and my ears almost failed! LOL 150W RMS is huge with a sensitivity of 98dB with one watt at a one meter distance these can rip.600W peak is plenty, like I said I did not hit 400W peak on the RF-5's,about the same sensitivity.
