I have just entered the digital world, and man did my eyes ever open up!!

No sub woofer needed here!!

I caint believe what ive missed for the last 4 years, WOW!!!!!

Now i have to buy more DVDS i have 2, so my hobby is very far from end!!

The digital sony i got for 100.00 from a freind really opened up my academy, along with my 4 cornwalls, WOW BOA 5.1 is awesome!!

I can connect 2 sets of mains, center, and rear to this unit, so if i get k-horns, ill have the hookup LOL!!!

I went to curcuit city with my freind, and he bought the new onkyo, 7.1!

I gave him 100.00 for the sony, in the store, and picked up an apex DVD while i was there!!

The DVD has no optical out, so i had to use the coax, for digital, i was kinda bummed!!

My CD player has the coax, digital out, but i only have one coax in on the back of the reciever, wish i could hook the cd player digital out into it some where!!

sorry i brought up that DTS jim as a glance at your 825

specs reveals it doesn't have 5 channel direct inputs which you'd need to hook up the analog outs from your dvdp & use it's decoder.

oh well, about every dvd that has a dts track on it also has a dolby digital 5.1. still pretty much better than 2-channel as you've found.
