Nicu
I just got my RC-7 and when listening with my ear close to the woofers I noticed that the woofer on the right sounds different from the woofer on the left, the one on the right has more high frequencies. Is this normal? According to the RC-7 info on the Klipsch site "Klipsch Tapered Array Technology operates both woofers at the lowest frequencies but only one all the way up to the point where the tweeter takes over". kelA
I would think that is how it should be based on what you just quoted regarding,'Tapered Array'. What frequency is being played?
Steve W. Bailey
yip...this is the function of the Tapered Array. Sound should be ideal at your listening location.
Nicu
Steve, Thank you for the clarification. It does sound great at 14 feet away. N
colterphoto1
Yes, the idea is that both woofers will operate at the lowest region, but to minimize time delays and other distortions in the critical dialog range, only one of the woofers continues on into the range of the horn. The other woofer is 'tapered off' below that point. It's kind of a two/three way combination. I think it works very well. Michael
