Underhanded Penguin
I was just curious since the reference mains have 2 sets of binding posts behind them, if anyone has tried biwiring them? Does this sound a lot better? Or just better? Or the same? The dealer told me it would produce more clarity. Somehow I find this hard to believe, as it is already very clear with my single 12 gauge. Any thoughts and recommendations would be apreciated. System Denon 1802 Mains RB-3 awaiting cash flow for rest of system... ------------------ I love you Aki Ross! oogins
Biwiring your speakers should make the sound clearer and the bass tighter. However there are people out there that believe that biwiring doesn't do anything. Just try it out and see if you hear a difference. I believe it makes a big difference. My sister has some Paradigm speakers and I biwired them for her. Right away, both of us heard a difference. The bass was more defined and tighter and the highs were clearer. ------------------ -Paul AMD T-Bird 900 Asus A7V Micron 256 MB PC-133 IBM 30 GB 7200 rpm ATA 100 Pioneer DVD-105 Slot-Load (16X/40X) 3Dfx Voodoo5 5500 AGP NEC MultiSync M700 17" (soon to be Sony G420S 19") SB Live! aab3rd
I have also bi-wired my Legend 20s with standard Monster Cable but I was wondering if the Monster Cable Z series single cable(not bi-wire) would give me a better sound than regular Monster Cable bi-wired. Monster Cable Z series 1,2,and especially 3 are dang expensive! Even more so for their bi-wire cables.
