ben.
last night, it was at last below 80F. I shut down the window shakers, and fired up the HiFi. It's been a while since the noise floor has been this benign. First up, 80's Japanese pressing of "Body and Soul". Billie and band sound pretty much perfect on this one. It's jazz, though; not blues. 2nd, "Live via Sattalites", recorded live at The Bamboo. '86 or '87. From there to CD. Slo-mo had his brand new disc "My Buzz Comes Back" in the mix. smuttynose
One reason I did not mind placing my listening room in the basement. I have not had the pleasure of a winter with it yet, but I imagine space heaters are quieter than fans and AC units. Winter will be upon us too soon. ben.
Stellar night again. Mid-60's. Calm and clear... Heading back for some Taj Mahal. "Sacred Island". Kathy Ziegler again, too.
Woodog
I understand Ben! At night I turn off the window A/C, the computer and the bathroom flourescent light (ballast buzz) because the *slightest* noise annoys me. I have a floor furnace that produces NO NOISE in the winter! I like the quiet when listening to music. Woo
