thxsubwoofers
My friend told me that you can watch movies an download them to the ipod. If thats posible, I might think about getting an ipod someday. I need a portable music/movie player in my pocket.
toddvj
You can copy any files you want to the iPod, as long as you have Hard Disk storage enabled, and you have enough space. You cannot, however, watch movies back on your iPod. There are several other media players that will play movies, though.

tenorman
Officially ipods do not support any movie file formats. However, what some people have been doing is saving movies as a series of individual picture files and then having the ipod play them as a slideshow. You also need to extract the soundtrack and have it play as background music. Its more of a way of saying gee look what I can do than any practical way of playing movies.
