98_1LE
I have a Denon 1801, four KG2.5, and a KG2.2V in the bedroom. It sounds nice for what it is, but is lacking bass, I don't want anything real punchy or loud, but would like to fill out the low end. Everything else is medium oak, so I was thinking about an SW-8 or -10. There is an 8 on eBay now. What do they sell for. What is the difference between the series II and the original? Guest BobG
If memory serves, the Mark II series of SW subs used a differential input stage to eliminate a hum/noise problem that was experienced by some on the original series. That was the major change.
Mikekid
When I placed an order for my SW12 several years ago, I was told that a problem was discovered with the "spider" assembly in the SW12's active woofer, and the sub will be on back-order. It took a couple of months for my sub to arrive. The new one was now labeled as an SW12II. I have had it ever since and it has worked fine. Take care Mike
killerbee_vr6
I have had an SW-8 since 1994 and it's a cool little bedroom-sized sub.
