  1. Ask and look to see if they have all of the the original speaker drivers. Also, what changes or replacements to the internal crossover. Do they sound as they should? No popping, crackling or weird noises. All speakers inside the cabinet working. ~ How is the overall condition of the wood cabinets? MOST people tend to be pretty hard on speakers, so look closely... Good luck, And all the best to you! πŸ‘Œ
  2. Probably not a problem on your end. Severe storms in that part of the country last day or two. Our daughter in law got scared senseless while trying to go to work. Tornadoes hit in front of her a bit and the wind was nuts/she got off the highway and sat still in the car. Two touched down about a mile up from where she parked. She couldn't see anything through the rain and wind at all. All good after a bit. Ohio. Pretty sure parts of Indiana got hit too. Give them a day or two for email response....or call. πŸ‘Œ
  3. I thought about either the Schitt Modi and the Gashelli Labs ones.. Several months ago, I thought i'd pick one up to use between an Oppo bdp 103d and an incoming tube amp. I have not yet because the Oppo's dac is known to be a good one, but not quite as nice as inside the 'audiophile' (105 Oppo, etc) models. Sure sounds great as is, but was wondering if it would be even noticeably better with one of those mentioned? ~Mike
  4. This Kestrel doing a rain dance.( home) Man...we need rain and snow badly our here.
  5. We have the Genesis sacd/dvd/hybrid sets. All are outstanding~ Kathy especially loves the Follow you , follow me track on this one πŸ‘Œ
  6. No Facebook here. Zuckerberg thinks we're monsters. I guess he disagrees with us πŸ˜„..comes with the territory these days. From the one pic..seems like nice ones.
  7. Been a very dry winter here. We so hope the 'fire' season is a quiet one, but 'things' do not look very good this year.. Another gorgeous day. Early spring showers with sun breaks.
  8. Nice one for sure! If I needed, I'd have jumped in the truck! πŸ‘Œ
  9. All hooked up. Decware Zen amp, ChorusII speakers, and the very first Hsu research, Vtf-3 (front firing version) Absolutely gorgeous sounding~ Joined the Klipsch Forum June 13, 1999 . Still a veteran member?πŸ˜„ Not enough typing and posting I suppose... I think there were only around 50 of us then. Where is my pen, where's my watch?πŸ˜‰
  10. I posted this to the Decware Forum a few weeks ago. Initial impressions with Klipsch, Oppo, and Zen 01/31/24 at 17:30:51 Just an impression from yesterdays arrival and first listen. I ordered my SE84UFO2.1 the end of Nov, 2021. My wife told me to place the order, and after my stalling several times, she said she's just going to order it anyway then. So I did. ~It arrived double boxed and packed with care. Outstanding. Kathy helped me set it all up (my left side is gimped) The amp is hooked up to an Oppo BDP-103 as the only source (for now) and 1998 (96 models. last year manu) Klipsch ChorusII speakers. I have read a hundred times how things 'burn in' and even get better sounding as amp is settling in. Well, If more of that burn in makes this little amp even better, I cannot imagine much more than it already sounds. We played several cd's last night and probably should have watched the time. Snuck up on us. Played the entire cd of Simon and Garfunkels greatest hits, then several songs from Dire straits, several songs from Supertramp sacd and a blu ray. And single songs off several more discs, including Kansas. I set the volume at about 3 o'clock and used the Oppo volume control as needed and it worked perfectly fine. Didn't really need it much anyway. By the way-PLENTY of volume out of this setup. Amazing. I am not going to try to describe the sound as it would sound much like the reviewers have already said. We both heard things we hadn't noticed before on many of the songs last night. And the songs played we knew very well over so many years. Well, we thought we did I guess. Better recordings make a huge difference as we all know, this thing makes those better ones nuts! I also wanted to thank Veronica as I did call her a couple times, she answered my questions and took care of business. I have some trouble talking sometimes and she was wonderful. Thank you Mr. Deckert and all staff as well. Pure quality in all regards. I'll check back in in a month or so.. Please excuse my typing etc, getting off the pc now. Practice typing session is over. ~~~So happy!!! All the best~ Mike ~~~~~edit: We have now listened to this almost every evening since it's arrival.. I did finally hook up one of our subs to it as well using high level speaker cables. Just added a bit more bass but did not want boomy, so kept it turned way down, cut off at about 50 hz.. Perfection. Took us two years to get this and could not be happier with it. Plenty of volume, crystal clarity, depth/clean bass with chorusII's by the way! Just beautiful to listen too! What a match! Never heard anything quite like this before in my life. Wish I'd have known this way before the reviewers got hold of one.. Take care all ~ Mike
  11. very curious on this ... hopefully some one shows up who knows a fix! And by the way Klipsch: I've been a member in this forum practically since it's start. There were only about 50 of us then I think. I am no longer a 'heritage' member? Just doesn't seem right somehow! πŸ™ƒ All the best~ Mike
  12. Some have a problem writing and typing, I sure do. A stroke screwed up my left side and hand, and I forget tapping keys all the way constantly. But usually my point is made without an English lesson from an indoors type.. Just be glad I was once a rocket scientist. I was given a ration of unnecessary sht from someone a few days ago ..not here though. πŸ‘ŒAnother day out of bed. Blessed...~Mike
  13. The short audio clip almost sounds like a blown speaker. Does it sound fine once it connects and plays a bit? Intermittent signal like you said probably though..and welcome!
  14. it has warmed up a LOT since last week. Could have hung wet levis from mine. I'm all better ...for now..πŸ‘Œ ~ Mike
