PAR69
Hey everyone, While I am more of a lurker than a poster, I did want you guys to know I am heading down to Mississippi or Louisiana to help out in the aftermath of Katrina. I am a member of a Canine Search and Rescue team (www.atsar.org) and we have been asked to deploy with the Georgia Task Force. I will be going as a support member - radios, navigation, etc. If you can, please donate blood and money, both are critically needed right now. 73's Paul
customsteve01
Good luck Paul, I have some friends down there right now from the Cypress Creek Vol. Fire Dept. running two of our boats as water rescue. I was talking with one of the guys wife last night at a block party and she said that the situation in New Orleans is very grim. They are still people to rescue and move to higher ground but they are finding far more dead bodies than anticipated. Also said the stench was morbid. There was other descriptions about the conditions but I want go into that here way to graphic. I commend you for going down to help. I know if my work situation was different I would be there with them. They are asking the local payed departments to send guys down on a 4 month rotation.Steve
