rockbobmel
Can anyone tell me anything about this amp? I am pretty sure I am going with a Rotel 1080, but what is the buzz with these amps? How do they sound? I have an Arcam P25 and it sounds great except it is a little lean in the bass for me. Not a lot of slam. But it is a 100WPC. That's why I'm going for a 200WPC amp. MrMcGoo
i have not used an Aragon amp, but the paper specifications on the 4004 Mark II are very impressive. Per the web site, it is a dual mono design that puts 200 watts into 8 ohms and 400 watts per channel into 4 ohms and is stable down to 1 ohm. I wonder if they didn't steal the 8008 description and forget to change the specs. On paper the 4004 is an excellent amp, if the spcs are correct. The 2004 is 100 wpc.Bill
Bill H.
I got to hear a 2004 w/ Cornwalls at the Klipsch gathering. It was really impressive..... so doesn't that translate that the 4004 should by rights be even better!
Deang
It's a great amp, but is getting on in years now.

Lurch
Why dick around? Because it is a $2K amp you can have for $650! It is an American muscle amp. Sounded fabulous with Vandersteens when I heard it. I, for one, have never been a fan of Rotel amps. Too colored. You'll end up upgrading before long. Just my $.02.
