Help Me Find Some Speakers in the Pacific Northwest,...

Hello all:

Space is a big concern for my little bedroom system. I will be driving them with a mint 1964 Altec Tube receiver that puts out 20wpc. If they are towers they need to be no wider than about 10", and no deeper then about 12". I'll live with whatever height I can get. I don't mind a pair of bookshelf speakers but again the space thing might sink me.

Any Kilpsch Forum members in the Northwest with some effecient speakers that might fit my bill. (I'd like to keep the cost no higher than $400.-$500., but two or three hundred would be great too.

I know it's a long shot but I thought it would be worth a try.

Regards,

Yes it is indeed Altec gold but there's no green. I'll save you the long story on how I came upon it, but to say it's mint is an understatement. (It was right out of the box when I got it.) I really love the thing.

I did a little background research and found out it sold for $496.00 in 1964!

To me it's a classey little number.

Now if I can only find a nice pair of effecient little speakers. (It puts out great sound from my LaScalas)

Regards,
