colterphoto1
I bet thats a tough one to whittle out. Complex curves mating. Not for the light at heart.
D-MAN
That does look tough - I often wonder what benefit the inventor/builder realized with his design in some of these things. The Karlson is a strange animal, though. Nobody really knows how it works. Their reputation is that for their size, they produce prodigious bass. I know that a horn that short by itself won't go very low. So what is it exactly that made it worth the extra work to complete the cabinet? And then patent the thing - there MAY very well be something to this if for this one fact: The Karlson has absolutely failed to die.... there are MORE recent patents using the exponential slot than horn-type loudspeaker patents, that's for sure! Hornfan
That doesn't look that bad. I'm sure I could do it metal. Wood may be more difficult. But then everything I see doesn't look hard to duplicate. Is there any more detailed drawings? HF
