DrWho
Looks like a JBL 2226 driver [] Do you have any performance data?
djk
While those vents look sexy, and it measures well, there is no horn loading going on. No taper along the length of the vents, none at all. Those type of HF horns do sound good though.

boom3
This looks like a Brociner design. Some of these have been used for single Lowthers http://www.hifilit.com/hifilit/Brociner/model4c.jpg
D-MAN
I'm with Dennis - the ports are just ports. Ports can be virtually any shape, its the volume they contain that counts. DM

DrWho
So what's with the crappy frequency response? The huge flat peaks are too wide to be room related unless they were measured in a pretty crappy location and then the response smoothed out. Eyeballing the cabinet and ports it looks like a proper cabinet for the 2226, but I know for certain that it doesn't have a response chart anything close to that. Just curious is all. Top of chart "All OUT DOORS",who knows ,is "crappy frequency response"being use in the technical sense. PS omg i'm doing a spell check, an when drwho's name comes up, it has reference to crappy[+o(]try it [+o(]
DrWho
Haha, my name has the runs! so wierd! I was just wondering what was up with the huge 12dB peak around 80Hz....it's just very uncharacteristic of the 2226. What kind of mic was being used on the measurement? And is this pink noise on an RTA or testtones with connected points?
