Need quick advice - Value of VN35MR stylus???

I'm currently bidding on a VN35MR stylus for my old Shure V15 III. The bidding's already over $100. I've been using my old Shure while waiting for the replacement for a Benz ACE (faulty channel - should get the replacement in a week or so) and have been delightfully surprised by the V15's performance. I have the VN35E on the cart now and know that the MR is an upgrade. What's a VN35MR going for these days? The seller says it has between 25 and 50 hours on it. Auction ends in 4 hours - need some quick advice. Thanks

Thanks Travis - I remember seeing that site a week or so when I first started looking for a replacement stylus. I didn't know if maybe the value had increased since the original stylae are no longer available. I don't think I'm much willing to go much above the price on that site though since I have another cart coming soon. Thanks again.

I bought a couple of VN35MR stylii last year, to save as future

replacements, directly from Shure. They were about $110 a piece

then. I've watched prices just go crazy for these since, but over

$100 for a used stylus just seems too high.

I recently paid $60 for an old Dual TT on ebay just for the V15 type

III cart. and VN35HE stylus and then the seller included an unused

replacement VN35HE that he had in a box. I think I'm set now but

I'll bet there are still good finds to be had out there if you're

patient.

Hey Sputnik - how does the HE compare to MR?

I use a Dual 701 and play old (but well cared for) LPs and I honestly can't tell a difference between the HE and the MR. Maybe with a new LP, you might be able to hear difference. I'm using the HE on the TT right now. Before paying over $150 for a used stylus, I'd look at another cart. maybe a Grado.
