Natural Gas is the answer,to the USA energy problems it's right under your feet ,an the USA has a lot of it , it is 98% "piped in" in the USA,but Henry Kissinger made oil agreements back in the 1970s', we buy their oil ,they buy are debt, because were going to use their's before we use the USA & Canada's oil, an oil sands, maybe someday they will build the three slated pipe lines in Alaska, instead of only just one pipe line, they did build ,an that one pipe line, is running at half capacity, thats why they have to clean it out with a gizmo,.... maybe it's better to shot ones self in the foot for the greater good ~$~ all disclaimers apply ~$~

Johnny, who said the <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Alaska oil pipeline is running at 1/2 capacity? BTW, they clean it with several pigs and super-pigs fairly frequently<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Where do see oil headed, in the next few years and the next decade?

At its peak, Prudhoe Bay pumped 1.6 million barrels a day, it is a declining field but produces the most of USA fields, ConocoPhillips, the state's largest producer, showed Alaska pre-tax profits of $4.6 billion and BP at $4.1 billion. Exxon refuses to release its Alaska profits.

For Conoco, that's a pre-tax profit margin of nearly 73 percent; for BP it is 68 percent, but they must report barrels pumped to the SEC,those numbers don't add up to capacity, what ever the reason,an they want more Alaska tax breaks,go figure, pump more later, at higher prices,an less taxes,a pipeline break down 2003, a pipeline break down 2006 ,is a good thing, heresy

Oil is in a up trend, next stop top of the trend channel ~$114, a raising dollar, or recession, could make oil fall to it's lower trend channel line,...next few years the trend is up, with global expansion, it's not the 1970's anymore, low taxes, low inflation, the spread of freedom, not a bad thing,....next decade high price is good fertilizer so to hard to call ~$~ all disclaimers apply ~$~,,,,,,,,on Elliot wave, aka Idiot wave, can't help seems slippery, without other indicators for traction
