007
I talked my parents into buying some RVX-54's upgrading from bose lifestyle... (I cant wait to see the reactions after they watch their first movie)anyway, as many of you know good guys is going under so the 54's are below 600 bucks! They want black and I need a subwoofer to match. YES Klipsch recommends the RW-12. My roommate has that subwoofer and its impressive. About as much output as my old SVS PB12-isd, but Im not sure I want that sub. Here is the deal, The room is very small, so these speakers are already overkill. I hope the 54's can image around 7 feet. (prays) This system is strictly for HT. Should I get another RW-12, a Sub-12 which doest really match the black/goal trim idea but has wicked output, or an another SVS, HSU, Outlaw or other brand with no discounts like the I can get on the Klipsch. Or should I try and get an RWS-12?If I try and spring for the RSW, what price makes it a higher value than say an SVS of equal performance?Anyway, Im talking like im going to buy this shit, its not me, its for my parents and I dont even live with them so I dont get to enjoy it, but I want them to have a nice system. Also, is the denon 2805 a good match for this whole deal? The rest of the system is gonna be RSX-4's and an RVX-
Speedball
I kicked around the idea of RXV-54's before I bought my RF7's....they are very, very nice looking slim speakers. I can't help you much with choosing a subwoofer........ If I were going with Klipsch I would certainly try for the RSW.
007
I think we're gonna go with the rsw-12.
