PiperG
How does this work? I've gone to some websites and looked at mounts, but was wondering how they attach to the speaker. Anyone with experience in this? TIA
MrMcGoo
The Reference speakers are made of MDF which will not hold together with ordinary screws. The vibration of the speaker would destroy it at the screw holes. There used to be mounting hardware built into the base of the speaker. If it is still there, it should be used. Any hardware used should be the same type as used on drywall, but no holes would be best IMO. Bill
wstrickland1
My RB 35s have a combination threaded and keyhole type mount on the back. If for some reason yours does not and you must hang it from the back, you can install a mount on the back, but do not just screw the mount on, but remove the drivers and thru-bolt it. MAke sure to use a small lock washer and lock-tite on the threads. It will be a little trouble but will provide a sturdy and dependable mount.
