tgourlie Posted December 5, 2005 Share Posted December 5, 2005 Ok, so just as I think it have all of the noise out of my two channel system... I put my ear close to the tweeter on my Heresy II's and I have what sounds like a whine. This whine changes loudness and pitch when the "gain" on my tube amp changes. But it is wierd, It gets louder when I turn the gain down and nearly goes away when the amp is turned all the way up. It also seems to be at a high frequency when the gain is all the way up on the amp. Gain on the tube preamp does not affect this noise. NOSValves Posted December 6, 2005 Share Posted December 6, 2005 Try cleaning the gain control on the amplifier with some Caig D5 its a long shot but worth a try.
