rtrahan123
Has anyone used Velodyne SPL series subwoofers with Heresy speakers? Good, bad, ok.......
TheEAR
I have the SPL1000,it is a very good little sub. Will dig deep and play quite loud when called upon.A fine choice for small to medium sized rooms, thye SPL800 is only for small rooms. The SPL1000 and 1200 does just fine in mid sized rooms, these will give solid 25Hz performance and very strong 31.5Hz output. With Klipsch Heresy speakers I would look at the SPL1000,not below .

formica
Has anyone used Velodyne SPL series subwoofers with Heresy speakers? Good, bad, ok....... First question is... do you already have a sub with your Heresys? What volume do you listen to them at? They really need a sub, as the roll off very high (i use them set to "small")... so any sub will improve their performance. Ear's recomendations, are considering the speakers total output... as a lower end velo SPL sub may be enough at lower volumes, but may run out of steam at higher ones. rtrahan123
I have a Polk BSW 10 paired with them now. It's good at low volumes but fall's off at higher volumes.

It's good at low volumes but fall's off at higher volumes. be it the SPL1000 or 1200 you are in for a total class level change. The SPL1000 leaves even a PolkAudio 404 in the dust so to speak, performance wise. Cleaner, faster and no bloat.Plus higher max SPL and diggs deeper. The SPL series compare well with Sunfire subs.
DaveInNashville
I have a Velodyne 1012 (which might be discontinued), but at any rate, I am very pleased with its performance.
