Whats up guys I am new to this board so let me introduce myself. My names Daryl Gregg im 22 From

New Jersey. I have been into Car Audio for a while

and just recently got into home audio. I am trying

to build a prett decent entry level home theatre system for my room its not too big 14x19 I think to be exact. I just want to get some opinions on my somewhat budget / entry level / first home theatre system I am setting up. I think this should sound pretty good its my first attempt and being im 22 and have some bills its hard to afford the best of the best out there.

Heres my current Setup

Reciever - SONY STR-DE975 ( 110x5 )

DVD Player - SONY DVP-NS400D

Speakers

Center - Klipsch KSCC1

Mains - SB-3's ( dont have yet )

Rears - Quintet's

Sub - KSW 12 ( dont have yet )

Cables are all AR Proseries and tv is just a

Panasonic POS for now.

How do u think this will sound? and have I choose

a decent setup for the money? I got everything so

far from various places online NEW for real cheap

prices as compared to MSRP and Stores.

Thanks,

Daryl Gregg

Daryl - Welcome to the Klub. My name is Doug, and I'm a Klipschaholic.

I think most of us share your desire to create a great sounding system without creating the national debt. You couldn't have picked a better brand of speaker for that -- biggest bang for the buck, I think.

Your system looks great for a starter. The SB-3s will work well for double duty as HT and stereo speakers. Rear channels don't get a lot of use in music-only modes, so the Quintets shouldn't be stressed (they work great for HT, but only pretty good for music).

Good that you're going for the 12" sub.

Not to stir up the pot -- on second thought, yeah, to stir up the pot -- another avenue for budget conscious Klipcshophiles is going used. You can find some great classic Klipsch's at great prices that may give you bigger sound than what you are buying new. Just a thought.

Good luck-

Hello Daryl. Just like you, we all started out with an entry level system. You're off to a pretty good start with the gear. You'll do fine with what you have now. The speakers will last you quite some time, especially with the KSW 12. This will provide your room size with great bass.
