Subwoofer Cable

I just bought a Klipsch Sub-12 and I need a subwoofer cable, but I don't know which one I should buy. I was going to get 12' Monster cable U2 Sub600 cable for $ 60 at best buy or I could get a 16' Monster cable Sub1000 for $ 80 also at best buy. Which one is worth the money? Is there any better 12' cable by monster cable that I can get at a local best buy store?

By the way, what is the difference between a subwoofer cable and a subwoofer interconnect?

Dude, screw monster crap, go get a decent Dayton cable from www.partsexpress.com. MUCH better cables for the money imo. With monster, all your getting is a name, simple as that.

I have this one- http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?&DID=7&Partnumber=181-642

they also have a 25ft version of that one- http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?&DID=7&Partnumber=181-644

I have ZERO problems with it and think its very well built for the money and never have shielding problems. Or, if don't like these, www.bluejeancables.com, http://www.mcminone.com, or http://www.cablestogo.com have some decent offerings I think. Oh, and so does radioshack- http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2049640&cp=2032058.2032228.2032250. I think it used to be called "gold series" or something. Thats a cheap nice 12ft cable.

So, the bottom line is DONT get monster if you DONT want to pay for a name. scp53

Do as the above people tell you,As I explain the monster wants your money and fast !.. not only for cables,What makes me laugh is their power bars,They make them look like a monster as if your getting something good but theres nothing in the box,My self i use all ultra link which is canadian ...opps sorry americans but they are one of the best made cables next to blue jeans and a few others.

i echo those comments. you can do just as good with less money. my personal preference is bluejeanscable. they look good too, maybe not quite as flashy as monster but who's gonna look anyway.

but if you're one of those gotta have monster kinda people then by all means spend your money on what ever tickles your fancy.

BTW a cable and an interconnect are one and the same .

BTW, have you listened to to sub-12 at home yet?

if not rather than waiting for something in the mail just run to radio shack. They've jumped on the monster band wagon too.[:'(] but their RS gold series cable is good. all my cables are RS except for the sub (bluejeans) and the speaker cable (monster) yes , there was a time when i was fooled by the hype.(got mine from ebay though at a good price)

let me know what you think of the sub-12.

And there was also a time in early days when Paul klipsch just used lamp wire to hook up lascalas and khorns and it was just as good[:)]
