Deang
The finest sounding amp I've ever heard at low to moderate listening levels. The TEAC apparenty has a reputation for being sensitive to RFI/EMI -- which might account for some of the mixed reviews. I have no complaints, but took care to make sure any power cords are well away from it. The amp originally belonged to Al who did some nice mods: He removed the card with the cheap volume controls, activated the fourth channel, added the necessary RCA inputs, and replaced the spring clips for speaker wire attachment with a nice terminal strip. $125.00 shipped. Great observation. I was less than impressed with my Teac, but it just so happens that there are a couple of dozen transmitting antennas on the roof of my building. I've got so much stray RF energy that I can't even use a VCR without getting artifacts in the picture. Never considered that at the time, but now that you mention it, it makes a lot of sense.
