zoot-horn
hello, I am a new member to the KLipsch forum and have been reading some of the interesting topics. I have a Klipsch Khorn manufactured April 2nd 1953 and is serial #428. I have enjoyed it for years as a mono piece, but recently came across the components I needed to match the originals. 15" Stephens Tru-sonic P52 woofer, K-5-J wood and fiberglass mid-range horn with University SA-HF driver and a University 4401 tweeter with a mid-t driver, the crossover is dated 1954. I used a mid 50's Electro-Voice Georgian/Klipschorn bass bin and built the headed unit myself to match. What I am looking for to complete the project is early vintage grille cloth and a cast mid-range driver throat. I've made my own throat for now but want to get this as accurate as possible. Thanks for any Help. - glenn
edster00
Welcome glenn! As far as vintage parts, other than other bb members here I would suggest you call Klipsch at 1-800-Klipsch and see what they have or if they can refer you to anyone. Good luck! Let us know how the parts hunt goes. ------------------ Ed W
