WingZero Posted October 20, 2001 Share Posted October 20, 2001 I've been please in general with my Promedia 4.1's but am starting to have problems with the sound fading in and out with certain channels. I've eliminated the sound card and speakers as the source of the problem - it's definitely the wires. I've read about how people are using custom wires with soldering to make better connections - however, I am not proficient in this kind of thing. Is there any place where I can purchase a wire upgrade for 4.1's with gold-plated miniplugs and quality wire all set to go without any extra work? Thanks. TheEAR Posted October 20, 2001 Share Posted October 20, 2001 Rat Shack and most electronics parts stores can take the wire you want and crimp/solder the 1/8" conectors of your choice for you. Just bring one speaker wire that came with your Klipsch set and voila.Dont take too thin wire 14 or 16 gauge is ok.
