What a pain for their screw up..... all you should need is proof of your (most recent) sale price... THAT is what the insurer work off of. They WON'T necessarily pay for what an item is insured for, but proof of the negotiated price is enough. So a printout of emails, ebay auction, proof of fund transfers, checks, etc for the transaction is what you want. I had to go through an ordeal concerning a lost tuner with the US Postal system... and though it took FOREVER, they did come through with NO arguments (since it was lost in my case, I also needed a letter from the buyer stating that the item was never received).
