Spring is almost here!

I figured I would ask, who uses Klipsch outdoor speakers and if so, what models? I have a pair of SA-3's (in white) which I run via a Sansui AU-G99X 160 watt/ch vintage integrated with about 90 feet of 12 gauge ground rated OFC wire per channel. Separated about 30 feet per channel, ear level (vertical mounted) and about 15 feet back from the end of my 20x40 foot deck. Currently since the nights are getting way below freezing, the speakers are sleeping in their original packing in my basement.

I am SO ready for spring!

not a Klipsch outdoor speaker exactly but here's a story. I've

got the attic in my old house set up as a computer and listening

room. The house sits high on a hill looking over a few blocks

down to a river valley then over to the other side. Once just for

fun, I opened the front window completely, hauled a LaScala up on top

of a trunk and turned it around so it was facing out the window, put

Metallica's Black CD on at moderate volume, then went for a walk.

Down in the valley, you could hear it at background level, but across

the river facing the house again, you could pick up most of the

midrange and a little high end. Later that night, I played a

sound fx recording of an old steam train (tracks long gone from town),

let it rip and then quickly put my toys away.

Hurry spring! I'm up here in a parka right now with a space heater cranked instead.
