  1. Damon, nice blog. Will definitely keep it within my sights.[H] Yank
  2. http://www.klipschcorner.com/BlogDetail.aspx?guid=9d616bd8-01ce-400e-90af-bc1528b7f032 Look very nice finish wise! Yank

  4. Missed that one. A paint I used which works perfectly with MDF and after 2 coats becomes waterproof: http://www.acrytech.com/store.asp?pid=14119 Only issues I had were that while water cleanup did in fact work, you still had to work hard to cleanup. Results, awesome. I used a heavy splatter roller which made a stucco like finish but rounded tips. Also, self priming too[] Yank
  5. I built a pair of speakers earlier in the year and used double refined MDF. 1" thck 4x8 sheet was over 90 lbs. As in the earlier post, the stuff Lowes and HomeDepot sells is crap, plain and simple. Look on edge and the stuff at Lowes has different coloration. The double refined feels and cuts like concrete so if you are going to work with it, make sure you have an extra set of hands and some very sharp tools. Here was my supplier within the mid-atlantic. They even carry up to 2" thick Double Refined MDF: http://russellplywood.com/mediumdensityfiberboard.html Yank
  6. Those are a pair of L46's I rehabed myself. Not a bad sounding bookshelf speaker if I say so. Yank
  7. http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/ele/383962584.html No affiliation. Wonder if they are still available? Price seems reasonable.
  8. I bought a pair of JBL speakers from them that when I hooked them up both tweeters were fried! As others have stated, they made good on tweeters, a grill that was missing and kept me in the loop all the time to ensure I knew what was going on. I have to say that even though what I bought from them was received in not as advertised condition, their support alone made up the difference for me. I would buy from them again if I came across something I needed. Yank
  9. You could use an Ipod docking station which have a line out jack, just like portable CD's and then get a 1/8" line out to rca adaptor and use your aux inputs.
  10. Today, I was getting ready for fall and figured I would take my SA-3's off their mounts and clean them up. Well I couldn't believe it, they had about 2 cups of water in each speaker! The amazing part is both were still operational! I have had mine for 5 years now without incident. It is a shame that Klipsch no longer manufactures this model with the 8" bass reflex cabinet (which is how the damn water got into the speaker in the first place!). Anyone else run Klipsch outdoor speakers? I plan on repainting the cabinets on mine over the next week with Krylon Fusion paint. Yank
  11. Would be nice to hold an AK East Coast Chapter rally since some of us cannot make it the middle of the country[] Yank
  12. I figured I would ask, who uses Klipsch outdoor speakers and if so, what models? I have a pair of SA-3's (in white) which I run via a Sansui AU-G99X 160 watt/ch vintage integrated with about 90 feet of 12 gauge ground rated OFC wire per channel. Separated about 30 feet per channel, ear level (vertical mounted) and about 15 feet back from the end of my 20x40 foot deck. Currently since the nights are getting way below freezing, the speakers are sleeping in their original packing in my basement. I am SO ready for spring! Yank
  13. What is a ball park figure for a pair that are "supposedly" in good shape?
  14. Tried to PM you but failed. I would love to see some hi-res pics please!
