ColonialHoo
Thanks for the heads up. I am starting to look for a replacement TT. My kids pretty much destroyed my old B&O RX2 a few years back. Haven't missed it yet, but now that I am slowly putting together a 2-channel again, I will drop in a TT when one presents itself at the right price level. This could work. I'll keep an eye on this and see how high it goes. Chuck
Mike Lindsey
There's one on Agon where he's asking $375. I don't know much about the Thorens tables so can't comment. http://cls.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/cls.pl?anlgtabl&1145571382 Mike
dubai2000
Mike, I wouldn't lose too much sleep over this particular model - it's decent but there are 'better' Thorens out there. A while ago I passed on some of the suggestions a former Thoren's employee suggested in a German analogue forum.......and from his posts I gather he really knows what he is talking about. Personally I am quite fond of Thorens TTs (see sig) but perhaps that's due to my European background. Anyway, I believe some of their models offer a reasonably priced alternative to get a really great sounding vinyl rig (just add the right arm/cartridge).
