3dzapper
First up is this "pair" of Cornwalls in California. They look very early and very nice. But, if you look closely, one is a horizontal and the other is a vertical. Notice the offset woofer in the top picture and the centered woofer in the lower one: http://cgi.ebay.com/Pair-Klipsch-Cornwall-Speakers-Excellent-HiFi_W0QQitemZ9702642381QQcategoryZ50597QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Next is this "factory oak" pair of LaScalas: http://cgi.ebay.com/KLIPSCH-La-Scalas-Rare-PAIR-OAK-Cane-Special-LR_W0QQitemZ9703908345QQcategoryZ50597QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem I sent the seller the following message: "The 1978 LaScalas that you are offering have a couple of errors in the listing. First, the oak is not factory original, those LSs left Hope Arkansas with a black birch finish in 1977. That is what the BB on the label says, Birch Black. Second LaScalas still today are made in Hope, Arkansas USA and nowhere else. Hopefully, you will take this information in the helpful nature that I intend. Most Klipsch affectionatos, who are most likely to buy your items, know what the serial number codes represent. Blackwatch26" Rick
Daddy Dee
Rick, Thanks for the links. That is an unusual "pair" of cornwalls, indeed. Prospective buyers on the LaScalas, should note the possibility of veneer bubbles on the side. Wasn't sure if that was just bad light or an actual defect in the veneer. Looks pretty good, though.
