coreyc
My understanding is that the replacement for the RF-35 is the RF-82.
TheSoundBroker
do anybody know who the follower are from the RF-35; -5; -7 series and it´s worth it to wate to that? in germany don´t know the dealer, how they look, how they sound is and how much they are??? RF-7=RF-83 RF-5=RF-63 RF-35=RF-82's. The new series have a different compression driver design. The driver is more extended frequency wise and is smoother with less distortion. This lends the new series a bit more refined sound versus the older series. The new triple woofer systems are a bit faster with a bit less midbass peaking than the older speakers (thinner/stiffer baffles and cabinets help). The older RF-7/RF-5 series are still awesome, with a bit grittier, more balls to the walls sound to them...but if you are in the lower price ranges, I'd definitely opt for the newer RF-82's over the RF-35's with the new tweeter design. rlr267
I auditioned the 35's and 62's before buying the 82's which were not in stock. I elected to buy the 82's and had to wait because the factory back-ordered them and I live only a few hours drive from the factory. The 82's arrived last week, so they are starting to ship now. (the back-order was primarily related to the cherry finish according to my dealer). As for sound, get the 82's. And, if I were you, I would be contacting a shipper to find out what it would cost to buy them in the US and pay shipping. If my math is right, 1300 Euros is $1599 USD. RF-82's list for $500 each, and I am sure you pay shipping for the difference.
