Ki Choi
In 2004, I purchased a single KB WAL #17 Khorn with the information that it was a 1992 model. Its S/N is 0052935336. According to the Klipsch S/N format doc, it would be 1992 model made on 5th day of the year or 2000 model made in last week of the year. Which is it? ColonialHoo
With my limited understanding, as a '92 model, it would be 'item' number 35,336. As a '00 model, it would be 'item' number 935,336. Logic would dictate that it would be near the 1 millionth 'item' off the line. Not sure if the serial numbers are up that high yet. I hope someone with '00 models could chime in as well. Frzninvt
I do not think you will find too many '00 models since that was the year Klipsch had to re source the MF and HF drivers for the Heritage line and I don't think production started up again until '01 if I am not mistaken. I am not good at figuring the newer date codes unfortunately. My bet would be that they would be the '92's. AK-3 networks? K-55M's?
Ki Choi
Take a look at the crossover and the tweeter's ceramic magnet in the distance. Ki

Frzninvt
That is an AK-3 alright, very strange that it does not have the identification plate on the front of it like all the others that I have seen.
Ki Choi
Thanks for your inputs. So, I am guessing it's a '92 model. Ki
