Mr Tech
I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for an A/V receiver for under $1000. This would be used in a Home Theater set-up with Khorn mains, Cornwall rears & a sub. I was thinking of a NAD T753. Any suggestions?
RTTR
I think the Harman Kardon AVR-7300 which used to be $2400 can be had now for $1050 from authorized dealers like OneCall.com That thing has been tested by a home theater magazine and puts out a true 139x7w before clipping. Mr Tech
RTTR, Just curious, considering your avatar, why would you recommend the Harmon Kardon over the NAD? Because of the higher power? Also, I checked out onecall.com on the Harmon & the current price is $1150.

Because I bought NAD for it's superior 2 channel performance, not every company does everything great, in my opinion for the money I don't think NAD is the best to go with for home theater, unless you are talking about their pre/pro in which case their surround processor alone is $1800 Don't get me wrong, the NAD surround receivers sound amazing, but they don't have as many features as other receivers for the price.
