whell
Last night, I was listening to some vinyl and noticed that on some deep bass notes, I was getting a buzzing sound from one of my RF-3's. After first thinking I had a damaged voice coil (though I really don't drive these speakers that hard at all), I did some invetigating and found out that the dust cap was starting to come loose. It looks like it was simply glued on with a very thin bead of adhesive, and wa starting to work itself loose. I gentrly pulled the dust cap away from the cone, and it came off quite easily. Question - what do you reccommend using to put it back on? What kind of adhesive would be best? I'm thinking I shouldn't leave it off, just to protect the inside of the speaker from dirt and dust. Thanks for any thoughts!
NOSValves
Whell, I would simply call Klipsch technical support. I would think they would have the perfect answer for you. Heck they may replace the speaker for you? My experience with them has always been positive. Craig
