J Tanman Posted November 1, 2001 Share Posted November 1, 2001 I am looking for a progressive scan DVD player that is a 5 disc carousel changer. I bought the HK DVD 50 but it kept distorting and finally completely froze up on me (but had a great picture in the mean time). Next I tried the Pioneer Elite DV-C36 but it lacks 3:2 pulldown for progressive, it refused to pause or rewind/fast forward on certain chapters of Dinosaur, and it is darker and softer than the HK was. I am now looking at the JVC XV-FA95, but it is a 7 disc carousel mechanism that I am afraid is prone to failure. Plus I am not familiar with JVCs quality on DVD players. Any suggestions or comments?
