Anyone have an idea of the age of these speakers and your opions of weather these would be a good deal. The "Y" in the 4th character is odd though because my 76's have the letter designation in the 3rd character. From looking at my SN cheatsheet, it looks like that's the only possibility. They are HBR's (Heresy/Birch/Raw) and look to be stained in a Walnut. From the pictures they look like they're in pretty good shape and are certainly worth $3-400. I just paid $657.00 for a similiar pair last week - they were oak oil in original cartons as well - the seller shipped them in two days and I received them Friday 11/09/01 - they sound great!
