akirk
I am starting to build a home theatre system and have a KSC-C1 center channel speaker that I want to use with Quintet satellites. The efficiency of the KSC-C1 is 95 dB and the Quintet efficiency is 90 dB. Will this difference in efficiency be a problem? I haven't bought a home theatre receiver yet - don't they allow for speaker volume matching? Also, any subwoofer recommendations for this system would be appreciated. Stu Pidass
Efficiency should not be an issue as most (if not all) receivers allow you to adjust the volume of individual speakers. You should be more concerned with the centre channel matching the timbre/tone of the sattelites. That's by far a bigger issue.
