D-MAN
Rich, what you see in the pic is a temporary setup for the photo. Same setup without the top "cage" as seen in my avatar. The midrange horn is mounted to a platform and the tweeter is just attached to the side of the midrange horn as a temporary solution so I could listen to it! The piece of wood under the tweeter is simply to prop it up. The piece under the mid-horn is the actual mount for the mid-horn. It is loose from the bottom cabinet, that is, just "sits there" with a glued felt underside to prevent scratches to the cabinetry, and therefore it does not vibrate. It doesn't move around either, even at loud volumes. Completely possitional. Works great. As to having tweeters centered up/down, that's up to you. In the case of a turret-mount like mine, I put the tweeters on the outside (towards the outside walls), which tended to produce a wider soundstage, IMO. It is just a personal call. This thread shows some other top-cab possibilities: http://forums.klipsch.com/forums/thread/741550.aspx DM
