Marvel
Thanks Dennis. I just had one of those little brain things going on. I was thinking of: 1. Still closing in the back of the LS. 2. Still putting a box under the LS, but only to make a forward firing port (the opening being the width of the doghouse opening) This would get the port firing forward. Although not really necessary due to the lower freq., but would allow placement closer to a wall, etc. Would look okay by only raising them up about three inches or so. So I wasn't using a program when I came up with the idea, but had the specific restraint of where it would go. Bruce
Guest " "
djk / Marvel You folks are talking about a cornwall type shelf slot? So, are the various senerious with a shelf, and if so, do deep would the shelf be? A 2 slot cornwall has a 3 1/8 inch high slot, 21 inch wide slot, and a shelf that is 9 1/2 deep. DrWho
djk, what software do you use? I use WinISD...sometimes I get different numbers than if I use Unibox or LspCad Lite, but they're all usually within 10% of each other. I alway recommend making the ports longer than they need be which allows the option of trimming down later to account for all the approximations made along the way. But really, 3Hz on the tuning either way isn't going to be a huge deal anyway (until EQ is implemented).
