KaiserKT1
My Acoustic Edge card is giving me fits!! I can be playing a game or listening music, and all of a sudden it either mutes/stops or starts going nuts with sounds. Also when it does this during games, the frame rates take a dive. I've reinstalled drivers and even put the card into a different PCI slot, and nothing seems to help. Any suggestions? DO I possibly have a bad card? Thanks! janko10
are there any problems with the "quality" of the sound (other than the fact it cuts in and out and stuff, i.e. is it staticy or sratchy at all0?
KaiserKT1
No, nothing seems wrong with the quality. It just crashes on my all the time (atleast 2 times a day). And yes, I have tried another PCI slot.

KaiserKT1
I have a Pentium 750, 128 megs of RAM, 64 meg DDR Radeon, and have directx 8 installed. Does that help at all?
song9394
i seem to be having the same problems...but only on some games. ut for instance i get the same problem. i even tried changing settings to lowest detail etc. no good. BUT on mdk2 it seems to work fine at high detail and all. strange. btw hardware is 1ghz thunderbird, geforce 32 gts, ae, 512mb ram, ibm 75gxp....that's all involved with this problem anyways. if anyone knows whassup i'd like to know too. thanks. song9394
janko10
Win9x i assume guys? anyway, have you looked in the sysinfo to see what you're irq's are like, if the ae is sharing specific ones, perhaps with a mainboard component. that might have something to do with it, although i think you would get more frequent lock ups. janko10
its the drivers probably man, they're not too optimized as of yet. I got a 1ghz pIII overclocked to 1.04 ghz and winamp still skips a bit at high cpu usage times. try going into the yamaha synthesizer options, lower the cpu usage, lower a bunch of the settings and see if that helps.
