mdowns
I've seen on several posts to this billboard different lines referred to as "A", "B", or "C" as in Klipschorn "C". What exactly is this designation? Is it the way they're trimmed out or just what? Thanks. MDowns
Guest BobG
Yep, it's the way the cabinets were built. Was a cool furniture version (same as current). A plain version and a version meant for behind a finished panel.
mdowns
So, a furniture version is an A, a plain is a B, and a behind a finished panel is a c, correct? Would I gather from this that most all horns sold for home use are the A model?
Klewless
Style "A" -- I don't have a clue. Style "B" is the one shown on the Home Audio page of this board. Style "C" did not have the riser board so that the top housing set flush with the top of the bass horn. (Two fewer boards used.) Style "D" was the decorator version was front panels only. No top housing or grill frames, etc. This was the cabinet style, not the finish. Is this what you were asking? ------------------ John P St Paul, MN
mdowns
John, I think so, I'm just trying to get a crash course in K-horns and cabinets "before" I buy. I want to know what to look for rather than find out after the fact. Thanks. MD
Klewless
mdowns, I should have also mentioned that the performance of all the styles is identical. ------------------ John P St Paul, MN
