LarryC
Doctor (Jonathan?) -- I recognize a smallish number of good classical LPs in there that you might want to keep, especially with a new turntable! Unfortunately, some of them are mono -- the Columbia ML and the RCA LM series for example. LP size is very deceptive -- they're big in two dimensions, but much smaller in thickness than, say, CDs, so that shelf space isn't that great once you nail the needed 13" or so of shelf height and depth. I suggest listening to some of these to see whether you don't want to hang on to them: MONO LPs: Leonard Bernstein & NY Phill. - Shostakovitch Symphony No. 5 Op. 47 - ML 5445 Col. scott0527
Nice bump. I definitely need some of that classical stash so I can start sounding as learned as Parrot. I can't see shipping more than a load of 20 of those lps though. Heavy stuff and I wouldn't have the time to appreciate them all. Larry has picked out some nice ones from what little I currently know of classical. Let me take a closer look at the list tonight and I'll send you an email/pm. If any of them are gone already, let me know.
