Wrench722
My computer is around 25ft from my sound system and the cables would run around 75ft (after running through the walls and attic) On my sound card there is a 3.5mm out and what I am asking is would it be better to run the 3.5mm cable 75ft to the system and then change to RCA or change at the sound card and run RCA the 75ft ?[*-)]
mdbrien
Run the 3.5mm cable from your computer to your stereo system and use a ground loop isolator that you can get from radio shack, which is an RCA cable with a ground loop isolator in the middle. It comes with a Y-cable to connect the RCA of the ground loop isolator to the 3.5mm cable. The ground loop isolator will take out the noise from the computer. Hope this helps. Jay481985
Problem is that its 75 feet. I think most cables are rated to around 25 feet or so. I would look into radio transmitters that can go the distance. Plus it might be cost effective and no ugly wires.
