Salty Codger
Needing a little more than the promedias I put together a sound system for my computer (Limited budget), however; I have a question on the sub setup. My powered sub (JBL) suggests using a preamp for the front L-R into the sub, then the L-R output from the sub to the L-R in on the HT Amp. The sub has both Low-Pass & High-Pass crossover adjustments. Would this be the best way? Or would it be better to just plug my computers 5.1 to the amp and just use Sub Pre-out. Here is a little more info on my system. PC - Sound Card 1 (5.1) - Soundblaster Audigy Plat. (Connected to 5.1 in connectors on Amp. Sound Card 2 (L-R) - M-Audio Audiophile 2496 (Connected to CD on amp. Amp - Pioneer VSX-D509 (Programmable internal Crossover) Sub - JBL PSW-D11 Spkrs - Quintets (5) One for each channel. I did buy an actual center speaker, but it was too big for my desk so I replaced the Bose center in my HT system. ------------------ Andy Faull -- Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former. -- Albert Einstein This message has been edited by ajfaull on 11-21-2001 at 07:32 PM
