Big Ben
Kain64, I have had my 9000ES for a month now and love it. I have no issues at all with Video or audio playback. It has lots of adjustments to improve on poor quality DVD's. I did not realize how bad some DVD's are until I got my Sony KDP65XBR2. It shows up every flaw in DVD production/copy. IMHO I think my CD collection sounds even better now. I have no SACD material so I cannot comment on that. I spoke to a Sony tech support guy about the new 900 progressive scan player over the 9000ES. While the new player offers things like CD-R and multichannel SACD playback it still did not have the same video quality as the 9000ES. My primary use is for DVD playback. Remember the 9000ES weighs about 28 Lbs while the new player weighs I think 11 Lbs. Some good things must have been taken out, to get the price lower. I would go with the 9000ES. Kain
Thanks for the reply. But what are you comments/opinions on the Toshiba SD-9200? Would you still prefer the S9000ES over the SD-9200? ------------------ Will be getting the following in December.
