johnarbour Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 Good morning all. I have a quick question about placement of the Quintet system. Basically, what it boils down to is this: What is the optimal placement of the speakers? Ceiling, floor, etc.? How bad will they sound if I place them in the ceiling near the front and rear corners of the room, upside down. I have space and wife limitations as far as what I can do right now with placement. Thanks for the info! Quote
wuzzzer Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 For optimal placement its best to place the drivers of the speakers as close to ear level while seated as possible. Why do you need to mount them upside down? You could show your wife some pictures of other peope's systems on here that have Klipschorns, RF-7s and other 'wife disappointing' speakers and tell her she should just be glad that your Quintets are as small as they are. johnarbour Posted November 26, 2006 Author Posted November 26, 2006 Upside down because of the pedastal/mounting stand they come with. I guess I could always go with floor stands for the fronts...the rears I am going to have to put up top though...should that still sound acceptable? Quote
