Waterfall
Hi! Is the RW-10 suitable for music? I want to use it for music listening every kind only. But after reading the two last reviews of this page http://www.audioreview.com/PRD_300200_2741crx.aspx I think the RW-8 would be better for music. What's ur opinion? TheEAR
To think the RW8 would be better for...anything is false. The RW8 moves less air,in the freq.it operates is not faster at all and has to work harder to achieve the same SPL as the RW10. It is like this with all subs from the same family...RSW10 to RSW15,the 15 will edge the smaller brother at ANYTHING you can throw. Same here ,in fact you should get the RW12 if you can,if not the RW10 is better than the RW8. Plus will dig deeper with authority. Yes,with subs BIGGER is better(providing products are of the same quality )
brennyE
It is true. A smaller sub is not faster than a larger one with the same motor power/cone area ratio. I had an RW-12, used it for music and loved every minute of it!
tommyboy
I have the RW10. I think it sounds great with music, BUT you have to position it correctly. I had it in the corner, then thanks to The Ear, I moved it, and now it sounds a lot better. It definitely blends better, and sounds a lot more musical. But placement IS critical.
