DrWho
Does anyone know if any of those surge protectors filter out bad grounds on the cable lines? I've got a ground loop induced by my cable line and I know the solution is to put one of them transformer dohickeys in, but alas that is quite expensive. I was wondering if perhaps one of them fancy surge protection power strips might effectively do the same thing in the manner with which they provide the surge protection. Am I making any sense? woodsman
Who, Check out the Richard Gray website. Probably the best stuff out there for that. There is a good selection on audiogon right now. Jeff

mas
Mike, For a ground loop via an RG6 or RG59 cable, an in-line isolation transformer like the one below will work fine for cable transmitted ground loops. http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?&Partnumber=180-
DrWho
Thanks Mark! That's exactly what I was looking for...I guess the "video" is what through me off in my searches [6] Btw, yes Klipsch sells the old Mondial Magic Splitter:http://www.klipsch.com/products/details/magic-splitter.aspx It's even on clearance...but still way outta my price range. I think I can handle $10 though. There are a few more things I need to purchase from Parts Express so I think I'll wait a bit to save on shipping and handling. SilverSport
I figured with your contacts at Klipsch they might give you one to "try out" and report on... Bill
