Jay481985
Ok so I live in the NorthEast where getting a ticket cheaply involves 350 round trip and takes like 5 hours as it goes from NWK to Georgia??? and then finally Indy.... that is 350 dollars roundtrip and 10 hours total Amtrak = 250 dollars and requires train half way and bus the other cause there seems to be no station in Indy??? Greyhound is around 200 dollars but the thought oh my leg going numb annoys me. So anyone going to indy by car that I can carpool with? I will split gas etc! Also this is a thread for anyone looking to catch a ride to indy.

whamo
Also I was thinking about renting a nice campsite instead of a hotel because I think that'd be alot more fun( campfires, beer, cooking out,). Mark
whamo
NJ, near manhattan. Maybe I can meet you or you can meet me, something like that?Yeah, that might be doable the only thing is NYC is like 4hrs away in the opposite direction. Maybe we can work something out. I'd hate to leave anyone behind. There's plenty of time. Mark

Jay481985
I kinda like the idea for the campsite for the less money inclined people. Plus we can bring some 30 pack!

Moderators Amy Posted January 18, 2007 Moderators Share Posted January 18, 2007 Decent campgrounds in the area are hard to come by here, unless you're willing to stay about an hour out of the city. Let me know if you need some suggestions!
whamo
Amy, How far is Greenfield? There's a KOA there and they rent cabins. That'd be swell because I could bring some equipment and set it up there. Mark
Jay481985
now the question is if we can get back from the hotel to the campsite if its an hour away??? will anyone be able to drive?

The good news is the trip would be mostly all interstate.
