Has anyone in the forum heard of Stephens TRU-Sonic Speakers.I have a pair of CX-150 with Bullet Tweeters connected to the front cone of the speaker. They are 16 ohm and weigh probably 25 LBs.I heard they used them in early K-horns.I currently have them between My Fortes. No need for subwoofer here. They actually seem more efficient than my Fortes.Though I would say the Fortes, edge them out. They are extremely clean sounding speakers.will try to post pics later.

VERY good speakers. Were made by Bob Stephens who along with Hilliard and Lansing is one of the great Southern California Horn Gods. Stephens worked for Hilliard on the Shearer Horn project at MGM in the 1930s and later started his own company.

Comparable quality and construction to Altec and JBL. I was outbid on ebay for a pair of Stephens bullet horn tweeters, I wouldn't go higher than $300, they went for about $600.

Early Khorns used a 15" Stephens woofer, yes.

Dig these old Stephens that created a frenzy on ebay
